Blue Berry

Blueberry fruits are round and slightly flattened in the shape. They have a crown like structure on the bottom of the fruit, and a depressed ring on the top. The skin of the fruit is smooth and soft, and its color ranges from light blue to dark blue.

Growing Seasons

The blueberry seasons runs from May to October, and the peak is in July. Blueberries are both cultivated and picked wild.

Uses of the fruit

Blueberries are used in jellies, jams, and pies and sometimes backed in to muffins. They are an ingredient of many other snacks and delicacies. Fruit wines and juices are also popular items.

Medicinal values of blueberry

Scientists have discovered many health benefits from eating the blueberry fruits. They are one of the richest sources of antioxidants, and found to reduce the risk of some cancers.
