However, exercise is such necessity that it should never be ignored. Even though you may be very busy, yet there are many ways in which you can put your muscles to work and burn out some extra calories.
Naturally when you are pressed for time then you need to make best use of whatever free time you get at home, office, club or other places that you chance to visit. Following are the useful tips that can help you to get maximum out of your such free moments.
Exercise Tips At Home
- Try out your hand in kitchen. Preparing your own food in kitchen not only helps you burn calories cooking, it also ensures that you are using healthy ingredients and limit portion sizes.
- Don't touch the television remote so that you have to get up to change channels.
- You can exercise or stretch while watching television.
- Do all the house chores yourself. Vigorous cleaning, mopping, scrubbing and dusting can burn calories and develop muscles the same way actual exercise does.
- Take out pets for long walk. It will freshen you up and help you to burn calories.
- Playing with children, running with them, or teaching them some sport invigorates the body and compensates for lack of exercise
- Avoid unnecessary driving. If you can get somewhere walking in reasonable time, do that
Exercise Tips While Commuting
- If you live close to workplace try to walk to work. It would be an easy way to stay fit
- If you live a bit far off, you can consider cycling to the work. Cycling is a wholesome exercise that can compensate for lack of every other physical activity.
- Use of public transit is also a good way to energize your body. It involves some walking, taking stairs and in general activating your limbs and muscles
- When you drive, park some blocks away from the destination so that you can steal a hundred yards of walk
Exercise Tips at Work Place
- Take stair cases instead of elevators and lift. If you work at higher floors, try to cover at least 5 floors in stair cases and then take elevator.
- Go out in lunch break. Walk to cafeteria
- Make a coffee break into a exercise break by walking around premises
- After lunch or dinner at office, go for a short brisk walk.
- Do some light stretching at your desk itself.
