It teaches a very useful dieting and fitness plan that helps people to stay fit and avoid gaining weight. Weight Watchers have specific food plans for teenagers, vegetarians and lactating mothers.

Though there is some criticism due to absence of professional diet planners and nutritionists to advise people on their problems, often these problems are resolved in the group meetings and counsel by experienced members.
